What should I know about Spanish numbers?

Spain tightened its numbering rules in April 2026: internet-based voice services must now use the 51 range, leaving 6 and 7 to mobile lines. A Spanish 6 or 7 number is therefore read as mobile by services that check the range.

Spanish prices are split: WhatsApp codes are dear (SMSPool listed $3.60 in October 2026) while Google codes are among the least expensive anywhere ($0.15 at SMSPool). That is why a Spanish Google code costs the $0.20 minimum here.

Frequently asked questions

Do Spanish mobile numbers start with 6 or 7?

Yes. Mobile numbers have nine digits and start with 6 or 7.

Why is a Spanish WhatsApp code so much dearer than a Google code?

Public prices differ by service: $3.60 for WhatsApp against $0.15 for Google at SMSPool in October 2026, reflecting demand and how often numbers are refused.

Is a non-VoIP number always accepted?

No. A non-VoIP number is classed as mobile in carrier databases, which most sign-up forms accept, but each service sets its own rules and can still refuse a number. If that happens, cancel the order and the price goes back to your balance.

Do I need to verify my identity?

No. RealSIM Numbers asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents: an email and a password open an account. The acceptable use policy still applies to every order.
