Non-VoIP number for Telegram verification
Telegram ties each account to one mobile number and sends the login code by SMS or inside an app where you are already logged in. "Each phone number is a separate account on Telegram," its FAQ says.
What does Telegram say about phone numbers?
- Mobile numbers only: "Telegram accounts can only be connected to a mobile number. We currently don't support landline numbers."
- Access to the number matters: "Make sure you have access to your connected phone number — otherwise you risk losing access to your account."
- Inactive accounts are removed: "If you stop using Telegram and don't come online for at least 18 months, your account will be deleted."
- Two-step verification adds a password: "Once enabled, you will need both an SMS code and a password to log in."

How do I receive the Telegram code?
Order a Telegram number
Choose Telegram and a country; Telegram codes cost less than WhatsApp codes in most countries.
Sign up in the app
Enter the number with its country code. On a new number the code is sent by SMS.
Read the code and set a password
Type the code from your account, then enable two-step verification in Telegram settings.
Each number has a reception window, shown before you pay. Codes that arrive inside the window appear in your account.
What should I watch out for with Telegram?
- Telegram can ask for a new code when you log in on another device. A single-use number cannot receive it later, so set a 2-step password and a recovery email right after sign-up.
- Use a rental if you will log in on new devices during the month.

Does Telegram accept virtual numbers?

Can I keep using Telegram after the number expires?
Yes, as long as you stay logged in and have a 2-step password; but a new login that sends a code to that number cannot be completed.
What happens if no code arrives?
If no SMS arrives before the window ends, or the service refuses the number, cancel the order: the price goes back to your balance as credit. You are not charged for a number that received no code.
Do I need to verify my identity?
No. RealSIM Numbers asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents: an email and a password open an account. The acceptable use policy still applies to every order.
